I'm writing this a week later so it will be brief.
Went to the race with Deb, Erin, Jennifer, Grace, Benny, Perla, Amanda, Taryn and Mary. Amanda, Taryn and Mary did the 3 b 7 relay and the rest of us (except Deb) did the 21k. Being at a race with friends is definitely fun.
The Coahuila 21k is a big deal. They had 9,000 entrants so it is a big race. The vibe here is awesome. There is way more music that any other race I've been to and the streets are lined with people cheering us on. The bad part of this race is the freaking first 5km and last 5km. The first 5 climb up and up and up with an elevation gain of 106 meters while the last 5km goes up 66 meters. Of course the middle 11km is just fun.
Because of my 50k in 2 weeks and my 21k in Toluca the next week I had decided to take it easy. I finished with a time of 2:05:00 which was about 6 minutes slower than last year - next year this will probably be my last Mexican race before I move back home.
All in all a good time.
