Day 6 Creel - every coin has two sides - an adventure of a lifetime

Today was my last day in Creel.  I leave at 10:30 in the morning tomorrow.  I ran just over 10 miles with about 1,200 feet of elevation gain.  The first 3 to 4 miles were uphill on the highway before I hit the trail for the rest of the way.
Every coin has two sides:  I've included some of the ugly side of my vacation in these pics/

Looking back as I climb and climb - getting accustomed to the elevation as I'm ready to leave.

Ugly 1 - a natural gas pipeline going through an amazing natural area just to feed the US's insatiable need for energy.  Figure it out, the answer is not more non renewable fossil fuels, the answer is in science.  Be it wind, solar or something else, we need to be looking forward, not backward.

and I climb more

Ugly 2.  The Creel international airport scheduled to be open in 2013.  Wait, you should actually own the land before you build on it.  This was built on land owned by the Tarahumara and as I understand it is being litigated.  I think they are trying to come up with a monetary figure.  Besides the ugliness of building on property of indigenous people is the question why?  This area does not need all inclusive resorts, huge resorts and tourist buses.  If you can't hike, ride a bike or a horse to see the sites then go to the beach.  Keep this area as it is.

The fence has been torn down so the locals can cross.  Apparently the fence added an hour or two for the locals to go to school etc.

The runway - may it never be used.

Cable Car and Zip Lines - really?  WTF is wrong with people - keep this amazing pristine wilderness as it is and don't impact the Tarahumara more than they have already been impacted

on the trail - no more rants - damn those arrows that just keep popping up

exactly where is the trail?

This would get me shot in Wisconsin, but yes I passed through - the gates here are to keep animals in.  Also the Tarahumara have a different idea about land ownership than we do
